It has been a family tradition for the last few years to go on one long camping trip together in the fall, which always revolves around the dad and Cody's deer or elk hunt. Last year it was dads elk hunt, he drew a tag for a bull elk in the La Sal mountains down by Moab. And I have to say that this was one of my favorite camp trips ever! Not only is it gorgeous down there, but we just had such a good time... and dad got his elk which was the "cherry on top". It was amazing to be down there during the elk rut, they bugled all day and night, sometimes I was sure they were right in camp. Pretty cool experience.

Elk pictograph... for good luck!

Grace is now infatuated with dinosaurs,
she is truly an Enright.

Nonne had to take a break,
while Aoife took a nap on her back.

Sage, the camp guard.
We love our pup.

Dad and Cody with the bull!
They were both so proud, as were we.
This guy will feed our family for more than a year.

Enjoying a cocktail around the campfire,
what we do best.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Stalling on the ride back home,
just leave me here!!

Life on the farm...

Every year the "farm" expands and this year will be no exception.
Here are some photos from Logan last year.
Sadie and dad have spent countless hours in the garden, planting an orchard, etc.
Cody is always busy as well, he decided to raise two pigs
and some chukar last summer.
The girls are getting so big, and Grace is always happy to
be outside and lending a hand.
Aoife has already grown so much since these pictures, but I just love them.

Just chillin' with the chickens.
"They're behind me aren't they?"

She loves to climb in, on, and out of anything!

Mama's girl. Say cheese!

Helping Aunt Linds make guacamole!

Hood sisters!

Campfire Cooking...

This post is dedicated to one of my passions, dutchoven cooking!
There is nothing better. If you have never had a meal from one of these cast-iron pots you are seriously missing out. Hopefully one day I can start a blog dedicated to recipes for the dutchoven (with pictures) because there is not that much out there.

Veggies on the heat

Chile Verde... one of our favorites!

Breakfast Omellete

Elk Stew with biscuits

Spring Camping...

My favorite time of year for camping (actually that would be all year if it was possible) is spring because there is nothing like getting out after a long winter cooped up inside. Here are just a few of the photos from last spring.

Finally back...

Wow, it's been almost a year since I have updated...
notice I said almost.
I decided that it wasn't so bad as long as I update before that year mark, barely made it.
2011 was a roller-coaster year, filled with loss and laughter but another one has already begun and I promise it won't take until next year to fill you in on the adventures.
So, here we go... this could take awhile.

SENIOR TRIP
Place: The cabin
Where: Torrey, UT
When: April 2011

My favorite photo of the trip,
and there were a lot of good ones!

We met a really cool guy who rode this really cool bike around the country... jealous!

Yes, we all had to get on for a photo opp.

What's a cabin trip without some beer pong.

Beautiful sunset on our last night.
