Holiday Adventures in the Desert...

As many of you know, camping with the Enright's usually means finding the most secluded place possible...away from the RV's, guns, and four-wheelers. This holiday weekend was just that. Even on Memorial day we managed to get away from the crowd in the Utah desert. We ventured to Indian Peaks, a place we had never been but a place we will definitely be going back to. It was a beautiful little desert oasis with plenty of flowing springs, blooming desert flowers, coyotes howling every evening, a glimpse of the infamous elk herd that inhabits the area, and more. Needless to say, it was a peaceful holiday adventure!

A lone wild horse. She seemed to be just as interested in us
as we were in watching her. Beautiful!

My first attempt at blackberry/raspberry cobbler in the dutch oven.
Turned out okay, but definitely needs some perfecting.

Hanging Elk shed.

Climbing the rocks.

Lizard. This one was not shy at all,
liked its photo taken I guess.

Horny Toad! These guys are so awesome!

LOTS of blooming desert flowers.

A night on the town...

There's nothing better than hanging out with family and friends. Its not often that I get to be with both in the same night so it was quite a treat. I've learned that no matter where life takes you there is always family and friends there to make you smile.

With the boys.

Happy Birthday Bridget!!

My girls! And the crazy bartender in the background.

All the cousins.

AJ and Leona.

My beautiful cousins.

Drunk Again and Lookin' to Score...

It's week 6 for the UT capital WAKA kickball league...
and our team really needs to pull out a win this week!
After a little practice tonight I think we are ready to go!
We will have the whole team tomorrow (minus Corinne,
we will miss you) so it should be a fun night.
We always love fans...so come on out if you aren't busy,
and don't forget your beer.

A beautiful weekend in Cache Valley...

It is always great to spend time up at "The Property!" Hee hee. Sadie and Dad got lots of gardening done and Cody was busy building a fence around the garden to keep the "brown hound" out of the furrows. In the meantime, Nonne and Aunt Dindsey got to hang out with our favorite bean! We took a trip to the gardeners market, a ride up to the nature center for some fun activities, and time out in the garden. She is getting soooo big soooo fast! Her vocabulary continues to amaze us. She loves to remind us that she is going to be a "good big seester" and that there is a "baby in the belly" and soon a "new baby in the house." TOO CUTE! Although she can't quite decide if she will have a baby sister or baby brother, a little too confusing I think. All in all...it was a wonderful weekend and here are some pictures to share. Of course they are mostly of Gracie...she tends to steal the lens.

Activities at Stokes Nature Center. Grace got right in there with
all the kids...after a little encouragement from mom of course.

Ducks hanging out in the river. Don't let Sage out!

Dinner is always on the top of the list...
this weekend it was stir fry and spring rolls!

It was my first attempt at making spring rolls...Mmmm!

Back to reality...

life in the real world is such a drag! Not really, but I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with the day to day of my life since I got back from vacation. I spent two weeks not being worried about ANYTHING, which is pretty good for me considering that I usually worry about everything. It was a liberating feeling to say the least. Being in Costa Rica, and i am sure it could have been anywhere, made me realize that I am at a good point in my life to do something amazing. Like go live somewhere for a few months, maybe even a year, learn a new language and meet some new people. But then I remember that I have responsibilities, responsibilities that believe it or not I sometimes enjoy. Damn the man! I wish there was two of me. Yikes, that is a scary thought. On another note...my week back from vacation was a good one. Full of plenty of things to do and people to see. Back to work, back to friends, back to family, back to the basement, back to kickball, back to soccer, and back to life. I am missing the beach terribly but it is always a nice feeling to be home...you all know the saying. So, here are some of my favorite pictures from our trip to CR.

After about 300 steps down the mountain...
we found the waterfall.
