Holiday Adventures in the Desert...

As many of you know, camping with the Enright's usually means finding the most secluded place possible...away from the RV's, guns, and four-wheelers. This holiday weekend was just that. Even on Memorial day we managed to get away from the crowd in the Utah desert. We ventured to Indian Peaks, a place we had never been but a place we will definitely be going back to. It was a beautiful little desert oasis with plenty of flowing springs, blooming desert flowers, coyotes howling every evening, a glimpse of the infamous elk herd that inhabits the area, and more. Needless to say, it was a peaceful holiday adventure!

A lone wild horse. She seemed to be just as interested in us
as we were in watching her. Beautiful!

My first attempt at blackberry/raspberry cobbler in the dutch oven.
Turned out okay, but definitely needs some perfecting.

Hanging Elk shed.

Climbing the rocks.

Lizard. This one was not shy at all,
liked its photo taken I guess.

Horny Toad! These guys are so awesome!

LOTS of blooming desert flowers.
